NETWORK TO COMMENCE PHASE II EXPLORATION PROGRAM AT CALDERA'S GOLD AND COPPER ZONES AND NEWLY ACQUIRED CLAIMS

Network Exploration Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX.V: NET.H) that its phase II exploration program for its Caldera property is scheduled to commence on February 5 and is designed to test the gold and copper presence on the existing and newly acquired claims at Caldera - a gold and copper porphyry property in region III Chile.

Network's phase II exploration program will concentrate on the gold and copper zones already identified from its phase I exploration program in November and will test the adjoining area recently acquired to the north and east of the property to better define Caldera's geological composition. Previous exploration performed by Noranda in their 1994-1995 exploration program have reported highly anomalous gold and copper assay values in these regions.

The program will consist of approximately 2,000 meters of excavator trench-work from which approximately 200 samples will be removed at 10 meter intervals. This program will also sample approximately 400 test pits and re-map the recently claimed areas. The resulting data from this program will be used to help pinpoint drill targets for Network's upcoming drill program.

Director Mr. Richard Schnoor states: "This program will further prepare us for our upcoming drill program at Caldera and will help define and substantiate the gold and copper targets on the property. We are very excited to be approaching the drilling stage of exploration."

Network's phase II exploration program will be led by senior geologist Mr. Marco Fernandez-Concha who will supervise a six man team over a two week period. Mr. Fernandez-Concha will be responsible for the collection of samples and their transportation to the ALS Chemex labs in La Serena, Chile.
