NETWORK EXPLORATION APPOINTS MR. KEN THORSEN TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Network Exploration Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX.V: NET.H) is pleased to announce that Mr. Ken Thorsen – former president of Teck Exploration Ltd. - has joined the board of directors of Network Exploration Ltd.

He is highly regarded in the exploration industry and will be able to provide firsthand experience to bear on the developments of the company’s mineral projects,” said Alexander Helmel, President of Network Exploration. “The appointment of someone of Ken’s stature is a clear indication of Network Exploration’s commitment to growth in the resource exploration industry.”

Mr. Thorsen is a Professional Engineer and holds a degree in geological engineering. He has over 40 years of experience in the exploration business and has held senior positions with SMDC (now Cameco), Selection Trust, and Teck Cominco Ltd. where he has gained invaluable, worldwide experience in the precious and base metal, uranium and diamond industries.

During his distinguished career with Teck Cominco Ltd., Mr. Thorsen held several senior positions including a 2 ½ year term as President of Teck Exploration Ltd. During this term he was responsible for the administration of 17 exploration offices worldwide and all field operations of the exploration department.

Mr. Thorsen played instrumental roles in the discovery of the South Bay Mine in northwestern Ontario, the Estrades massive sulphide deposit in northwestern Quebec (Teck Exploration Ltd.) and the Leinster mine in Australia (Selection Trust). He will be assisting Network in its acquisition of new properties and the development of its existing properties in South America.
